eBuddy Officially Launched Mobile Version

eBuddy Officially Launched Mobile Version

eBuddy, the web and mobile messenger service, has officially launched its mobile version yesterday. We covered its initial announcement here.

There are a few updates included in the official release, pertaining to both its web and mobile platforms. The three separate clients for the eBuddy system (AOL, Yahoo and MSN) have been integrated into a multi network client and has included more networks such as ICQ and GTalk. It’s also incorporated some handy drag-n-drop content management functionality, group chat, and custom emoticon support.

For the mobile release, which is still in beta, the J2ME client will improve chat on mobile devices. The mobile messenger is a downloadable service which is available for most phones used worldwide (that’s a lot). The multi-network support has been included with the mobile version as well.

In related news, radiusIM recently received funding. See here for a run down of other popular messaging tools.
